LAVENDER FESTIVAL RETURNS TO DENVER BOTANIC GARDENS CHATFIELD FARMS

Weekend-long festival includes food, music, art and children’s activities

Saturday and Sunday, July 18 and 19

More than 2,000 blooming lavender plants set the scene for Lavender Festival at Denver Botanic Gardens’ Chatfield Farms location in Littleton. The two-day summer event invites visitors to stroll through fragrant rows of lavender while enjoying food, beverages, artisan booths, live music and children’s activities. This year’s event is Saturday and Sunday, July 18 and 19, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Advance tickets are required.

Admission includes:

  • Access to the 1.5-acre lavender garden that features 19 different varieties.
  • Dye garden tours with information about dye plants, weaving and spinning demonstrations
  • Artists presenting and creating during the festival
  • Hands-on paint-by-numbers style murals
  • Entertainment by local Colorado bands performing in our newly opened Market Square bandstand.
  • Barrel train rides, lawn games and kids craft area
  • Access to Chatfield Farms’ historic homestead, trails and curated gardens

Other things to know:

  • Tickets are $7 – $17, children 2 and under are free and must be purchased in advance.
  • Gardens members save $4 on tickets.
  • Group pricing is not available for special events.
  • The last entry is at 4 p.m. The event ends at 5 p.m.
  • The event is rain or shine; in the case of severe weather, guests will be asked to temporarily seek indoor shelter or go to their vehicles.

What to Eat and Drink

Food and beverages are available for purchase from a variety of vendors and include vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free options (available while supplies last and upon request). Breckenridge Brewery and Stem Ciders offerings made with lavender grown at Chatfield Farms will be available along with other fan favorite options.
