5. Great Frame Up
Sure, it’s a frame shop. But you’d be missing out if you never peeked inside to see what else this large shop offers. Each month, Great Frame Up showcases the works of 10 to 25 local artists. Also check out events such as a Lillian Kennedy Painting demo as part of the Longmont Artists’ Guild monthly meeting. 430 Main St., 303.772.7293

6. D. Bruce Bennett Celtic Art
D. Bruce Bennett, inspired in large part by his wife’s Scottish heritage, produces original acrylic paintings with a Celtic kick. He works out of his home just off Main—his work is online. There you’ll find paintings of castles, turrets and landscapes. 303.776.2685

Also: Check out rotating displays such as the “Return to Route 66” through March 9 at the Longmont Museum (400 Quail Road, 303.651.8374), and the Second Friday Art Walk each month, a great gathering in Old Town featuring tons of local artists.
