Letter to the Editor

Dear Editors,

I have always enjoyed your magazine. However, I was shocked to read (in bold type no less) that “three Hispanics were murdered by a bible-obsessed, White male Christian terrorist in Thornton, CO on November 3rd”. This unfortunate use of labeling does nothing but divide people of different ethnicities or spiritual traditions, which I believe is a contributing factor to our problem of hate and violence. This act of violence, regardless of his twisted reasoning, was simply evil. After page 8, The Yellow Scene found its way to the recycling bin.

Sincerely,

– Cat Precourt

Ms. Cat Precourt,

My apologies that the facts of the case offend. It is not our intention to offend. You’re as welcome as anyone else to clear up our misconceptions, and we would be happy to provide you with additional articles detailing this man’s race, his lack of furnishings (except bibles), his known disdain for Hispanics, and the fact that we in America call religion obsessed murderers “terrorists.” In fact, we’re fighting a war over it.

We appreciate our readers, even when our readers disagree with us.

– Managing Editor, Yellow Scene Magazine
