Fievel the Facility Dog is leading the celebration for Moving to End Sexual Assault’s (MESA) 50th year serving Boulder County as the sexual violence resource center.
For half a century, MESA’s volunteers and staff have worked with community partners to support survivors by providing information about the criminal justice process and medical care. We provide prevention education, counseling referrals, a 24-hour hotline, a text line, trauma-informed yoga, and support groups.
We have accomplished so much together in 50 years and there is still more good we can do. Read on for two ways you can connect with us and support MESA’s mission.
Calling all Former Volunteers and Staff
If you have worked or volunteered for MESA anytime in the last 50 years, we want to connect with you. No matter how long you were on our team, your efforts made a difference and we want to recognize your contributions.
We hope you will join us on August 24th on Zoom as we reconnect virtually and hear about MESA’s vision for the next 50 years.
SAVE THE DATE: Brave Bold & Beautiful (Live Event)
Brave, Bold & Beautiful is MESA’s premier annual fundraising event to celebrate and honor the journey of survivors and the efforts to end sexual violence. This special evening will celebrate our 50th anniversary and continuing legacy of MESA.
Join us on October 20th at Nissi’s in Lafayette for an inspired program of performances, hors d’oeuvres, silent auction, wine wall, and the Rebecca Folsom band. Bring your friends and family to show your support.
“Brave, Bold & Beautiful is an opportunity to support MESA and ensure that we continue serving survivors and teaching the community about consent and healthy relationships. Plus, Fievel would love to meet you.” – Dr. Janine D’Anniballe; MESA Director
