Fall Concert at the Nomad Playhouse: Traditional Irish Duo Adam Agee & Jon Sousa Return to Historic North Boulder Venue

After selling out the Nomad Playhouse three years in a row prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, Adam Agee and Jon Sousa will return for two fall concerts at the historic community theatre in Boulder, Colorado on Saturday, October 1 and Sunday, October 2, 2022. The Boulder-based duo are best known for their Irish music, though they delve into the rich traditions of other cultural streams as well. The show features fiddle, guitar, tenor banjo and voice. Through creative, long-form arrangements of traditional Irish tunes, Adam & Jon present a wide range of dynamic and textural spectra. Characterized by their genuine warmth and humor, the duo interweaves personal stories with their music, enchanting the atmosphere for listeners to experience a breadth and depth of emotion.


Saturday, October 1st: 6:30 doors, 7:00 show
Sunday, October 2nd: 1:30 doors, 2:00 show
Advance tickets are $25 adults, $20 students; tickets are $30 on the day of show.

With nearly two decades behind them, the group’s experience includes performances and workshops in Europe and Ireland, showcases in national and international music conferences, and regional tours in the east and west of the U.S., including their debut appearance at the world’s largest Irish festival in Milwaukee.

The duo has recorded two full-length albums, including Suantraí (2014) and Ceol na gCarad (2018).

Adam & Jon spent a year living in Ireland in 2008-2009, while Jon earned his Masters Degree in Traditional Irish Music Performance at the University of Limerick. Currently based in Boulder, the duo makes frequent visits back to Ireland, particularly immersing themselves in the music of County Clare, where they lived in the music-rich town of Ennis. You can hear Adam & Jon’s music, read more and watch videos at adamandjon.com.
