Growing up in the Denver West African Drum and Dance community, SF1 celebrated his 12th Birthday via a rite of passage ceremony officiated by the late great Opalanga Pugh. The rites of passage signifies the coming of age and ever since, SF1 has celebrated his Birthday with purpose and intention.
This year, In celebration of life and his hit new single “DOWN,” SF1’s Bday Bash will take place March 23rd at Ophelia’s Electric Soapbox. Presented by Indie 102.3 and Cornbread Entertainment, the night will include performances by Denver’s own Amzy and Nancy Hubanks. 18+ show and tickets are available at livenation.com. With an energetic and sexy environment, some of the best musical talent this city has to offer, and of course cake, the night is guaranteed to be one not to forget and one surely not to miss.
Bio:
SF1 is a gifted emcee, percussionist, music producer and songwriter. A Berklee College of Music alumni and Grammy Award considered artist that hails from Denver. His live performances include a skilled ensemble of talented musicians, “TheCrew.” Receiving many accolades, including three Westword Magazine Music Awards in the hip-hop category, ranking Top 3 in The Indie 102.3 “Best Artists of 2021 Poll,” SF1 and “The Crew” are the first and only hip hop act to play major league baseball’s Coors Field. A hip-hop artist that refuses to be put in a box. His genuine love for music instrumentation is evident in his ability to effortlessly infuse West African, Afro Latin, Pop and Rock within his energetic sound and compelling live performances.
