Boulder Spirits Announces Industry’s Oldest Bottled In Bond American Single Malt Whiskey

Boulder Spirits 7 Year Bottled In Bond Available September 1, 2023

Boulder, CO – August 23, 2023 – Boulder Spirits, makers of award-winning single malt and bourbon whiskey, has announced the release of the oldest bottled in bond American single malt (ASM) in U.S. history with its new Boulder Spirits 7 Year Bottled In Bond. This rich, distinctive whiskey will be available for orders and purchase at the distillery beginning September 1, 2023.

The 7 Year Bottled In Bond is the first of its kind, incredibly rich in oak and balanced with Boulder Spirits’ trademark luscious mouthfeel. Since releasing the distillery’s first bottled in bond three years ago, the head distillers have been sampling barrels and were happy to find Colorado’s intense climate is creating a cleaner, more developed whiskey each year, and is not overly oaked even after seven years.

“We’re happy that Boulder Spirits has been busy making American single malts since 2015, and we now have the stock to keep releasing these whiskey treasures,” said Boulder Spirits Cofounder Alastair Brogan. “Boulder Spirits will continue to be on the leading edge of the ASM category, and we look forward to future releases.”

Only six barrels of whiskey went into this batch, yielding 1,200 bottles. Barrels were filled on April 15, 2016, and were proofed with pure Eldorado Springs water to 100 proof and bottled on July 31, 2023. Boulder Spirits’ water source, nearby Eldorado Springs artesian water, is an essential ingredient of this whiskey, along with imported barley and the distillery’s proprietary yeast.

Boulder Spirits is releasing 1,200 bottles of the 7 Year Bottled In Bond, with an MSRP of $74.99.
