Groundbreaking New Research On Indian Country Will Feature At Gathering Of Economic Justice Advocates From Five States

WASHINGTON, DC — Press are invited to attend the National Community Reinvestment Coalition’s (NCRC) first-ever Just Economy Regional Mountain West Summit at the Renaissance Denver Central Park Hotel on September 26 and 27.

Mainstage and panel discussions will assess innovative ideas for combatting racial economic inequality and delivering wealth-building opportunities to historically marginalized communities, with a special focus on Native Americans. NCRC’s national research team will present groundbreaking new research on how the financial industry is failing to serve Indian Country’s needs.

And a panel of leading water policy experts will discuss how the Colorado River’s worrying future contributes to poverty – and what can be done to change that.

There is no registration fee for working press. Media must register here. There will be no live webcast of any sessions.

Phil Washington will speak at 1:00pm on Tuesday, September 26. Mayor Johnston will speak at 8:30am on Wednesday, September 27.

The detailed new research on Indian Country will be presented at 4:00pm on Tuesday, September 26. The panel discussion on the ecological threats to the Colorado River will take place at 12:30pm on Wednesday, September 27.
