BOULDER, CO — State Representative Junie Joseph (House District 10) invites community members to attend an Energy Assistance Event and Town Hall this Saturday, March 21, offering direct support for residents navigating high energy costs and access to critical community resources.

The event will take place at the Boulder Family Learning Center, located at 3164 34th St., Boulder, CO 80301.

The Xcel Energy Red Truck will be on site from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., providing one-on-one assistance for residents who need help understanding their energy bills, setting up payment plans, or applying for available support programs. Staff will also assist eligible households in enrolling in the Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP), which helps reduce the cost of heating for qualifying families.

The Energy Town Hall will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. and will provide an opportunity for community members to share concerns, ask questions, and engage in a conversation about energy affordability and local issues, including water challenges in mobile home parks.

“I know how difficult it can be to keep up with rising costs,” said Rep. Junie Joseph. “This event is about making sure people have access to real support, clear information, and the resources they need to stay safe and stable in their homes.”

All personal information shared during the event will be protected under Colorado’s data privacy protections established in HB25-1234, legislation passed by Rep. Joseph to ensure residents can seek assistance safely and confidentially.

This event is free and open to the public. Spanish interpretation will be available. Snacks will be provided. Community members are encouraged to stop by, ask questions, and connect with resources designed to help families stay safe, warm, and financially stable.
