Cheers to Left Hand

The judges at last weekend’s Great American Beer Festival know a thing or two about beer. That being said, we think they learned something we’ve known for a long time: Longmont’s Lefthand Brewery is pretty darn good.

Left Hand took home two medals in the prestigious competition. Judges awarded a silver to the Milk Stout in the Sweet Stout category and a bronze to local favorite Sawtooth Ale in the Bitter or Pale Mild Ale category.

I was expecting an award for the JuJu Ginger—and wouldn’t mind sipping on the beers that beat it. Oh well, two medals for the local brewery is still cause for celebration.

So raise a glass to Left Hand and go drink a pint of one of the winners.

Check out more on the GABF, and don’t miss out next year.
