350 Boulder: Upcoming Events and Action Items!

Editor’s Note: Press Releases are provided to Yellow Scene. In an effort to keep our community informed, we publish some press releases in whole.

As we head into the holidays, there are some important action events to mark on your calendar:

Next Week – Cumulative Impacts Rulemaking

Join 350 Colorado as we call on the COGCC to fulfill their SB19-181 mandate and hold a cumulative impacts rulemaking! On Monday, November 28th, from 6-7 pm, we will submit our comments into the docket together. Whether you want to submit as an individual or on behalf of an organization, it is way more fun if we work on this together. Register for the zoom call here.

Important December Action Event

On Friday, December 2nd, from 12 – 1 pm, join CU Fossil Free’s Climate Strike. The group will be meeting on CU Boulder’s campus, on the north side of the UMC. CU Boulder is hosting the Right Here Right Now Global Climate Summit on December 1st-4th. Concerned CU students, faculty, staff, and community members are using this opportunity to call upon CU to divest from fossil fuels. Please sign their petition and follow their Instagram for updates!

And More…

During our next BoCo team meeting, on Thursday, December 8th, from 6-7:30 pm at Rayback Collective, we will be hosting a letter writing party, to reach out to local officials about the Uinta Basin Oil Train. This event will be leading up to December 10th, where communities around the country will be hosting days of action in opposition to the oil train. To find out more about the Uinta Basin Oil Train issue and how you can take action, join Halt the Harm’s webinar, happening on December 7th.

I look forward to seeing you at these upcoming events. Your support and presence makes an impact!
