Thurs. Oct. 30, 2025 — 10 AM

Where: In front of the main entrance to the Boulder City Council Building, 1777 Broadway, Boulder, CO 80302

As a part of his forward-looking campaign for the City Council (Election Day: Nov. 4, 2025), Aaron Stone has been highly critical of the many ways in which Xcel has failed the residents of Boulder’s electric utility needs.

Thus, especially in the spirit of “local control,” he is calling for a not-for-profit CLEAN and SAFE electric utility for Boulder; which, as needed, would contract with private utility providers (including but not limited to Xcel), paying fair compensation, for the provision of specialized services that may be necessary.

Reflecting the profound objections of large numbers of Boulder residents–and even larger numbers across Colorado and the U.S., Aaron Stone says:

“Enough corporate control of our municipal utilities, with deep conflicts of interest!  We the People of Boulder demand a return, as soon as possible, to corruption-free local control–for CLEAN and SAFE energy.”
