Gas Giant’s Green Louisville Plans

It may seem an oxymoron, but a behemoth oil company plans to bring oodles of green, environmental research to our local economy. Or so says ConocoPhillips, who purchased 432 acres off Highway 36 (formerly Louisville’s Storage Tech campus) with plans for a Global Technology Center and Corporate Learning Center. Ever-so-green Gov. Bill Ritter lauded the purchase, which could bring more than 3,000 jobs to the region. It should provide a spark to the economy and continue to put Colorado on the map for environmentally-friendly projects.

What’s Next: Let’s hope all those new employees purchase Eco Passes, ride their bikes to work or buy hybrids.
