.If you grew up on Will and Grace, or have ever brunched (and we know Coloradans loves to brunch) you know the only way to brunch right is with an excellent Bloody Mary in hand.

That gorgeous, spicy concoction of vodka, tomato juice, and combinations of spices and vegetables is the perfect day drink, the only true hangover cure, and the most epic of gravity defying presentations. We have to admit, it’s lovely to have non-whiskey and beer events to check out. We have diverse tastes, in all things, including our imbibing. To that end, the 4th annual The Bloody Mary Festival is coming to Denver on October 20th at the EXDO Event Center. The festival is at the perfect time of the year, because the drink’s namesake is a creepy folklore story that’s great for Halloween time. The festival only graces 10 cities every year and Denver is one of the lucky few, so don’t miss out on this Bloody good time!

Festival goers can taste test all of the Bloody Marys and vote for one of your favorites to win the “People’s Choice Award.” In addition, expert judges will choose the “Best Bloody Mary in Denver.” The Bloody Marys will come from local bars and restaurants including Highland Tavern, Ace Eat Serve, The Pig & The Sprout, Gallop Café, Snooze, an AM Eatery, Steuben’s Food Service, Rose & Thorn, Demitri’s Gourmet Mixes, The Bloody Mary Co., Spooky Craft Cocktails, Tree Line Bloody Mary Mixes, Bloody Maria, and so on, so in going to the festival you’ll also be supporting your local businesses. All of the Bloody Marys will be mixed with Crater Lake Spirits. That’ll even the playing field…or is it drinking field? Anyway…

So that you don’t go home hungry, or get too tipsy on your Bloody’s, attendees can enjoy food and drink samples from a wide variety of local vendors. These include Polar Seltzer, Cypress Grove, HelloFresh, Natalie’s Orchid Island Juice Company, Skinny Crisps, Colorado Liquor Pickles, Pickett’s Ginger Beer, Briste Foods, Raising The Bar, Oogie’s Popcorn, La Fillette Bakery, Keen One Foods, Chiporro Sauces, Denver Chip Co, On Tap Kitchen, etc.

Now that we think of it, this is like a food and drink festival inside of a drink festival. What could be more fun than drinks, food, and even more drinks? Convinced?.
