Green Dreams To Fall For | Health

As we all know, fall is here and it is a great time of year for colors. Let’s talk green.

There are so many ways to be more thoughtful about our environment. In this article I will touch on 5 ways to add green into your life with the concept of personal health in mind. As we reach towards a healthier and happier world to live in, these tips can help you think green and act globally to make our world better for people tomorrow.

  1. Change to a reusable water bottle. Drink at least 8 glasses of water or at least 64 ounces of water a day for health benefits and why not do it from a cool looking reusable water bottle.
  2. Park the car and ride your bike or walk. With so many sunny days in Colorado you can get your exercise and reduce carbon emissions, it’s like having your cake and eating it too. Exercise will also keep you warmer on those cooler days.
  3. Reduce waste by pre-packing your meals and snacks in reusable containers. Like water bottles you can be creative, tell a cool story, or add a little fun to your day with how you pack your food.
  4. Water usage is an important consideration in Colorado. Water is a necessary resource we all use. Since it is getting cooler and we are spending more time inside, it is a perfect time to tackle indoor house projects. Why not consider upgrading your faucets, showerheads, toilets, or bathtubs to more energy or smarter options?
  5. Cleaning supplies are necessary as we spend more time indoors as well. Try swapping out your chemicals for natural cleaning supplies. Vinegar, water, or biodegradable soap are easy places to start. This can help clean more naturally and leave less impact on our waterways and wildlife.

No matter what you choose to do to be colorful or green this fall, please consider how these small changes can improve your health and the environment around you. It is always helpful to start small and think big as you reach for your goals with health, fitness, and sustainability …For Your Life™.
